Six House Cleaning Tips

Let's face it: cleaning our home can be very stressful. House cleaning is incredibly time consuming, and for one who is constantly busy this can be a problem. We all expect our houses to be clean, spic and span each time we come home after a busy day at work.

Well, this works well for those who can afford to pay for the services of a maid. But, to those who cannot pay for house cleaning rates, it's best that you “grin and bear it” despite the fact that cleaning a messy house is a harrowing experience.

Here are some house cleaning tips you can use when you are faced with a filthy home.

  1. First, have a cleaning schedule. This lets you become even more organized with your system of house cleaning. If you do not live alone, you can work with your roommates to set aside specific days for each one to scrub the entire house. Have a check list. This will let you know as to what specific area of the house should be cleaned on a particular day or week.
  2. Also, clear your way from any distractions. Turn off the TV, keep your cellular phones away from your reach, and turn off your computer. Do play your favourite music, as this will make you enjoy the house cleaning process. When you listen to music, your mind thinks of the music and not the cleaning. Before you know it, you will have cleaned half of your house without even noticing!
  3. Take a short walk around your house and look for areas where to focus on cleaning. It is best that you start cleaning from the messiest area, all the way down to the least messy. Ensure that you inspect each area first. That way, you can to save a lot of time and your energy.
  4. Gather the required house cleaning equipments which you will be using. You will mostly need mops, rags, dusters, and broomsticks. Secure them in one place or inside a bin. That way, it will be easy for you to choose what you want. If it helps, having a stun gun flash-lamp will allow you to see dark spots and instantly stuns rats as well as other pests that you will encounter.
  5. Remove any toys, books, magazines and other stuff that block your way before house cleaning. Organize your items. Place them in plastic storage boxes and label them. That way it'll be easy for you to locate them when you need to use them again. If you have a stun pen, better secure it safely otherwise you might accidentally use it and hurt someone. Keep any harmful objects away from the children’s reach. Or even better, return all items that you don’t use very often into its place.
  6. Worse comes to worse, ask for help. The more hands, the merrier. Admit it, you cannot do the entire job by yourself. Station your roommates within a specific area. That way, the time to house clean gets significantly reduced. What could be more enjoyable than to spend the day cleaning with your friends and family? You get to bond with one another and make the house cleaning experience that much more pleasurable.
